Howdy all, so I'm running a short Edge of The Empire game while my main campaign is on hiatus and one of my players wanted to try out a force user and was wildly ineffective in play despite considerable EXP investment in the character (though not enough to get that coveted 2 force rating).
He just never rolled any Light Side Pips in the entire session and hence could barely use his powers. Is it even possible to make a somewhat effective force user at Character Creation? Is it even possible to make an effective force user at all? Since even in Force and Destiny a 2 Force Rating seems to be the best you can do..
Does anyone have any house rules they've tried to fix this?

In this way, Destiny ebbs and flows during the game in much as it does in the greater Star Wars Universe. Players and the GM can only use one point per ability check or roll. This is a community for friendly discussion about Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars RPG. This system began with the release of the beta Edge of the Empire rulebook in 2012, and it's since blossomed into full fantasticness with three core rulebooks, four beginner's boxes, and over a dozen adventures and sourcebooks. In addition to the whole flip-a-destiny-point-for-convenint-plot-point, in my games I only let players use them (and only use them myself) to upgrade dice rolls if you can explain what story based occurrence has made that roll easier/harder than it would normally be. I've seen Edge tweet out information about their other lines but it's been complete radio silence on SWRPG. And their website updates even less than their Twitter page. Nightmare house 2 crash. Has anyone else heard anything? At this point even an update or acknowledgement would suffice. Overall I have to admit I'm worri.
